By my window
I sit
Melodies of love
Breezes by
But am blessed by touch
Although time
Has sent me the joys
I take a walk holding the rose of smiles
And then by the river
I see the reflections of us
That’s the kindness of the river flowing over memories bank.
The splendour of all
I then take a splash
To bath in the gift
Of the wonder that be
Hearing the songs of the day
And floating in the essence of what the river gives
I step out unto the banks of wishes
And regrets
And lay on the grass
The memories of forever
Am grateful in the waters of promises
In the river flowing over memories bank
Wishing you were there
With me
The sunshine of kisses remembered
The chipping crickets of friendship shared
The lilies of passions felt
These are what I see
At the rivers flowing over memories bank
The winds of what would have been
Sends a chill of sadness through me
Then I remember
How life without you has been
There I know why I came to the rivers flowing over the memories bank
To have you again in my heart
